B.Ed. in India has been improving day by day. One of the most respectable and secure jobs in India is the teaching job. It is an essential undergraduate professional degree to get a job as a teacher.
The minimum qualification that is required to take admission in B.Ed. course is to possess an undergraduate degree that may be a B.A., B.Com , B.Sc., B.Tech / BE, BBA, BCA. or any Degree. The ones who have done their graduation in arts will be taught Kannada, English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu, Social Science, etc., the students who have their graduation in science are taught Physical Science, Mathematics, Biological Science and Computer Science and the students who have their graduation in commerce are taught Commerce and Management as the soft core subjects.
B.Ed. in India- NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) considered teaching profile is as the most respected profile in the society as teachers play an essential role in student’s life. Bachelor of Education ensures job security and satisfaction with a handsome salary package.
B.Ed. Fees structure – The Total fees for the B. Ed education course is payable as per the state Govt. norms but can vary according to the university and college.
B.Ed. duration in India: The duration of B.Ed. learning programme is 2 years.
B.Ed. Eligibility Criteria: Students should have passed their graduation / Post graduation with minimum 50% of marks in any discipline from a UGC recognized university and they have to choose the soft core subjects as per the subjects studied at graduation or post-graduation level.
A citizen of India who has passed any Bachelor’s degree from recognized University in India or abroad as equivalent through 10+2+3/4/5 pattern of education and has obtained 50% of marks in aggregate of all the subjects is eligible for admission to B.Ed. programme.
The candidate with less than 50% aggregate in the degree, but a Master’s Degree with 50% is also eligible for B.Ed. programme.
B.Ed. ADMISSION PROCESS AND EXAMINATION
Documents Verifications:ﾠUnder document verification, all the marks cards and degree certificates from tenth to graduation or post-graduation are required to be shown.
B.Ed Admission: Online and offline mode is available to take the admission. For an online process, a student needs to send their filled application form along with document copies from 10th to graduation or post-graduation with ID and residence proof copies. For an offline process students can come directly to office with their documents from 10th to graduation or post-graduation on all working days.
Fee Payment: After documents verification and filling the application form, students are required to deposit the required amount for the confirmation of the admission in B.Ed. course.
Exam Mode: All the B.Ed. examination will be done in offline mode in the college as perﾠBengaluru North Universityﾠnorms. (Semester scheme)
RULES AND REGULATIONS OF SCT COLLEGE OF EDUCATION
Attendance Criteria: 80% attendance is required in each semester for completing the B.Ed. Programme. 90% attendance is required for school Internship.
Ragging / Indiscipline: Ragging in any form is banned in the institution and anyone indulging in the act is liable to be reprimanded appropriately. Punishment may even include expulsion from the institution and or imprisonment for a period of 3 years and/or fine up to rupees 25,000/- as per Indian panel code.
Dress code: SCT college of Education has prescribed a uniform during an internship.
Discipline & Code of conduct: Students are expected to behave in an orderly manner on all occasions and to obey the instructions that are notified from time to time. The discipline committee comprising of faculty members and students oversee all issues concerning discipline.
